Dress code: black tie optional
Requested color: black
Our big day is an intimate occasion, and you’re all playing a big part in it simply by joining us in participating in a shared color scheme (black). For our wedding we’d love for everyone to embrace the elegance of black attire.
What does that mean for the ladies?
For women, "black tie optional" means a formal event where floor-length gowns are encouraged but not strictly required. Women can choose to wear a floor-length gown, a formal cocktail dress, or even a dressy jumpsuit or pantsuit. Consider adding your personal flare with interesting textures or beading, or unique accessories into your outfit. The key is the black color scheme.
What does that mean for the gentlemen?
Its formal in nature, but it’s also flexible. Suit (or Tux), it’s entirely up to you. If you own a classic black tuxedo or can rent one, give it a go! If not, a black suit will be just as dapper. Accessories like a white dress shirt, black tie, and black shoes are standard.
